Katie Jean Shinkle’s books and chapbooks include Dear John: A Retrospective (Antiphony, forthcoming), The Only Way Out is Through (YesYes Books, 2026), Transference (Gasher Press, 2025), and Tannery Bay (coauthored with Steven Dunn, FC2, 2024). She teaches creative writing at Sam Houston State University where she is the Director of the MFA in Creative Writing, Editing, and Publishing. A 2021 Lambda Literary fellow, she serves as co-poetry editor of DIAGRAM.
